The principle of the camera obscura enables the projection of an image through one simple hole : it’s the invention of photography. Judas Obscura is a peephole screen based on this optical principle.
When a person shows up at the door, their image is projected into the inside, on the other side of the door. This image has a particular grain, revealing an defined and sensitive message to the visited. It offers an image somewhere between a film and a postcard.
Judas Obscura is therefore an analogue screen, made up of two successive lenses, allowing the projection of whatever is taking place on the other side of the door : from passersby to a small, fixed landscape.

Le principe de camera obscura permet la projection d’une image par l’intermédiaire d’un simple petit trou : c’est l’invention de la photographie. Juda Obscura est un oeilleton à écran reposant sur ce principe optique.
Lorsqu’une personne se présente devant la porte, son image se trouve projetée à l’intérieur. Une image qui possède un grain particulier, divulguant une information compréhensible et sensible au visité. Une image à la frontière entre le film et la carte postale.
Juda Obscura est donc un juda à écran analogique. Il se compose de deux lentilles successives qui permettent la projection de ce qui se passe de l’autre côté de la porte : passants ou petit paysage permanent.
